In this episode I speak with Arvid Kahl, who sold his SaaS, FeedbackPanda, for a life-changing amount of money in 2019, two years after founding the business and growing it to $55k a month. Arvid writes on TheBootstrappedFounder.com because bootstrapping is a desirable, value- and wealth-generating way of running a company. He's written the book Zero to Sold and more recently, The Embedded Entrepreneur which at the time of recording was called Audience First, which you'll hear us reference in the episode.

Arvid Kahl is a software engineer turned entrepreneur. He co-founded and FeedbackPanda, an online teacher productivity SaaS company, with his partner Danielle Simpson. They sold the business for a life-changing amount of money in 2019, two years after founding the business. Arvid writes on TheBootstrappedFounder.com because bootstrapping is a desirable, value- and wealth-generating way of running a company. In over a decade of working in startup businesses of all sizes, Arvid has learned a thing or two about what works, what doesn't, and how to increase the chances of building a successful business.

Today we have Embarque.io supporting the show! Embarque is run by a fellow indie hacker and has just crossed 6 figures in revenue. Embarque is an agency that offers productised SEO content that converts.

It blew my mind when Julian told me about the growth their client MentorCruise had from the SEO content, resulting in 107% increase in MRR, 100% increase in monthly trials and a 114% increase SEO traffic. My word, wouldn't you want those kind of results for your indie business.

My recording

Hello and welcome back to Indie Bites, the podcast where I speak to indie founders in 15 minutes or less.

In this episode we have Arvid Kahl, who sold his SaaS, FeedbackPanda, for a life-changing amount of money in 2019, two years after founding the business and growing it to $55k a month. Honestly, Arvid is one of my favourite guests I've ever had on the podcast and I really struggled with editing down our 60 minute conversation into the best bits for this episode. Everything Arvid said was useful and actionable. I'll put the full conversation on the Indie Feast membership feed, which costs just £4 a month, head to indiebites.co/membership to take a look at that.

Before we get into this conversation, it's sponsor time! Today we have Embarque supporting the show. Embarque is run by a fellow indie hacker and has just crossed 6 figures in revenue. Embarque is an agency that offers productised SEO content that converts.
